Chelsey recently completed her MPA at Columbia University in International Economic Policy. She graduated from Wellesley College in 2014 with a BA in Peace Studies. She spent her junior year in Cameroon working with a local microfinance co-op that assists women entrepreneurs. She then returned for her senior year at Wellesley where she produced a research paper on female entrepreneurship in Cameroon.
Previously, Chelsey consulted on short-term projects with various organizations, including the Community Preservation Corporation (CPC). She also taught high school French and West African dance for two years at the Kent School. Currently, Chelsey works with the Huairou Commission, a grassroots women’s organization, to organize New York City public housing tenants.
